The 6th Annual Lincoln Morris Festival takes place on Sat 3rd Sept 2011
“Great to see some English traditions alive and kicking”
There will be performances in Lincoln city centre between 10:30am and 12:30pm and uphill Lincoln between 2pm and 4pm. A final massed display takes place in Minster Yard (outside the West end of the cathedral) between 3pm and 4pm. As usual there will be a lunchtime musician’s session and singing session.

On Saturday night there will be a grand Ceilidh with music from the Liam Robinson Dance Band at Westgate School.

LINCOLN CEILIDHS
We organise a monthly ceilidh in Lincoln. It’s a great opportunity to come along and take part in dancing, meet new people and start the weekend! The ceilidhs feature lots of great music provided by Liam and friends, including regular guest musicians. No previous experience is needed – and the dances are suitable for all ages and levels of fitness.

All dances start at 8pm and finish around 10 :30pm

The community centre is behind Andrew Musson’s Tailors, just south of Dixon Street in Lincoln.
There is no parking at the venue, but there is plenty of free on-street parking in the local area.
Homemade refreshments and drinks are available at the venue. BYO welcome.
Workshop Weekend -Sat 28th & Sun 29th May 2011
A weekend of workshops in the beautiful village of Welbourn, Lincolnshire; led by the Mini Morris Company. The workshops include Band (all instruments and abilities welcome), Longsword Dance, Singing, Cotswold and Border Morris, Yarn & Fabric Crafts, Folk Percussion, 18th Century Country Dance and Songwriting. There will be a ceilidh on the Saturday night, barbecue on the Sunday night and music sessions throughout the weekend.
The weekend is a great opportunity for you to develop skills in music, dance and song or try out new things; to share your skills with others and be part of a great weekend of sharing and enjoying the best of English traditional arts in one of the loveliest villages in Lincolnshire. All are welcome, regardless of experience.
